Employment: 839 temporary and permanent workers.

Current activities and status: Produces vegetables and fruits (on irrigated 190 ha) and collects from out growers (50 surrounding farmers, two agricultural investors and one state farm). Imports and distributes vegetable seed and sole agent for SEMINES export fruit (papaya) to the Middle East.

Future plan of action: Establish tomato, pineapple, and mango processing industry at the cost of birr 25 million for export and local market in Zuway area. Establish 200 ha of modern pineapple farm in SNNPRS and increase the number of out growers to 1000 for both tomatoes and pineapple.
