Awassa Chamber of Commerce  [top]

Objective:  To further the interests of the business community in Awassa and to voice its common needs and views, to promote trade and investment in general and foreign trade in particular to provide services related to the expansion of trade and investment in the country, to act as a bridge between the government and the business community.

Current activities: Finding buyers for the products of member businesses and promoting area products, preparing national and international trade shows, exhibitions, and seminars., exchanging business information with national and international chambers of commerce, studying all possible ways the products and services of businesses in Awassa can be made more competitive, studying all constraints to doing business in Awassa, preparing forums where the membership can meet and discuss important issues concerning the development of business with the government, educating the business community on government rules and regulations, publishing trade newspapers and newsletters, issuing on demand certificates of origin and authenticity to businesses providing translation services, offering mediation between business entities.
